This is not the "Kilometer Zero". The exact point is accross from this pole in a platform with a silver ball on top with a signage "KM 0".
  • Rizal Monument, tondomanila wrote 17 years ago:
All coordinates in the Philippines was taken from a small platform across this monument. The platform has a small silver ball and a sign "KM 0". If you use this monument as Kilometer zero, you will get an error already.

my family used to be members of the old manila bethel temple. i have great memories growing up, like being in the children's choir during special occassions, easter, christma, anniversary etc. sunday school is a big event with different age groups. like to have snack at the old canteen. i went to attend the service at the new cop. i was hoping to see or meet old members. i saw the old sign, they save it and placed in in the new walls. i remember the gifts given during christmas to the kids.who can forget the summer camp. i wish there will be a grand reunion. i know there was a time that members got split up but the past ia past and i hope everyone can come together to worship and rejoice. i highly suggest that the new administrative staff have a person/n who can welcome old members just to show them around and give them a tour of the new cathedral. i was hoping they have that. not to be treated as somebody special, but just to let old members know the different nooks and coners of the cop . i'm glad the place was not sold and converted to a shopping mall or condo building. praise the lord that a worship place still exist.whatever i learned from manila bethel temple will always be a part of my life. how i wish i can turn back the time just even for i day to be back at the old manila bethel temple
