    It was in this gym where I (Percy Calbes) played my final year as captain of the College of Engineering basketball team who were UE Intramurals champions in 1968.I opted to just play in the intrams and finish my engineering degree instead of playing as a Red Warrior during the tenure of Baby Dalupan.It was on the top floor of the building and the best gymnasium in the country at that time.Coach of engineering was Anastacio Malabed.
