Stayed there twice. First time shortly after opening. Second time a year later. Prices gone up and the quality of the rooms down: non repaired stuff. According to some reports the neighborhood is not safe, I never had problems in the area, whether in day- or nighttime.

Not so good as they promise on their billboards. Place needs some maintenance. Seems to be a Filipino habit to built something and when it breaks down: just let it be. Pray for hot water in the shower. Pretty expensive compared with comparable hotels in the same neighborhood.

Warning. Don't buy hard drives from the street vendors. Same for optical drives. Chance you pick a good one is very remote. Find a electronics shop around where they test before sale and give some warranty.

The Halina Hotel is a good choice if you're looking for a cheap hotel in Avenida. It's better than Sogo hotels anyway.
