i was a graduate of bacood elem. school - 1964 - and i remember having two classmates - twin brothers - Arthur and George and they have a cousin name Remedios - but the last name spelled AGANA not Ogana. i am just wondering if you by any chance the same george. any way i am currently living in vancouver, canada and just visited the philippines for the second time after 34+ years. had a wonderful time visiting bacood during the fiesta.

if you are in a bit of a rush, don't shop at puregold san andres. You get to experience triple security check, especially when you buy frozen items that need to be weighed. I bought 5 kilos of frozen sawdust for my dogs. I waited for a couple of minutes for the supervisor to check the item before I could get it from the frozen section. Then at the Cashier, I had the longest wait! The cashier kept on pinching the frozen item with a worried look and kept on mumbling I didn't know what to the bagger. When I asked what was the problem, I didn't get an answer. After about 5 minutes, with the frozen sawdust, slowly thawing, the man who tended me at the frozen section came and was interviewed by the worried-looking cashier. By this time, a longer cue of clients await their turn at the till. I again asked what seemed to be the problem. No answer came. Then, I got to pay, at last, and the bagged frozen sawdust was given to me and I hurried away but was again stopped and checked for about two minutes again at the door by a healthy macho-looking woman! I never still learned why!!!!!

I think it's as old as the university itself. Ito kasi yung main door ng university back when it's in intramuros.
