In the late 50's and 60s, I used to attend the 10 or 11am Sunday church services at the Our Lady of Loreto Church. I also have my first communion at the church, also. In the 60s, During the December fiesta, Plaza bustillos was the site of the big stage where there are variety shows at night. Jocson or Jopson supermarket is the place where we get merienda and halo halo. Those were the good old days.

I used to live on Alcantara Street in the late 50's and 60's, and like Eking, I attended Sunday Cathechism class at Nazareth School. After school the nuns gives us cornmeal, block of cheese and powdered milk. The big bag of powdered milk, we trade it to Mang Ponyong (the local ice cream vendor for one ice cream on a cone. As kids we used to scale the fence of Nazareth and go up the roof to get the kite (the "sarangola"-kites)that were loosers- kite aerail dogfight).

sometimes even the best school can produce the most ROTTEN products. This especially happens when the people you are trying to mold simply REFUSE to be helped. It is a pity when groups like the ones who gave their comments above do not realize that when they utter such things it is themselves that they are putting down.

this is a good school, good leaders are here but some of the products are rotten... hope the priests can do their job to deter the school from dropping to a hell-like situation.
